There is no greater benefit to a community that to invest in the development of its children.

About the Project

The Atlanta Boy Choir has always stressed the importance of community outreach and involvement. This has been especially this Organization’s purpose during its now 59 year history. Not only is our Choir composed of every ethnicity, social and religious strata but our performances here in Atlanta and in other Georgia cities, our state and and across the globe are to present not only the finest musical productions, but also to boast of our great diversity.

This year alone our choir includes: Spanish, Chinese, Korean, White and African American boys. This is the result of our visiting and contacting the many schools and institutions of this vast Metropolitan Area. We even have boys involved coming as far away as Clarkesville, GA.

Of special interest is our close collaboration with some of the newly developed charter schools and one in particular, which is an amazing school, is the Drew Charter School which was built through the generosity of the Cousin’s Foundation in the East Lake area of Atlanta. Currently we have over 20 boys from this one school alone.

Because we know the importance of our involvement in the Community we have just hired two part-time staffers to help implement the future development of this program. One of these is Ms. Donna Angel, founder of Capitol City Opera Company and the other, Football Star of the University of Alabama, Christian Harrington. These two new staff members will work with all the schools and organizations in our area to let them know about the Atlanta Boy Choir and see where we work together to make this a better community.

Your contribution to these efforts will not only help us greatly to achieve this important goal but will encourage others as we strive for a better world through the education many young boys who otherwise would not have this unique opportunity.
