Help us add color to 12 places in OTR's Alleyways, east of Main Street

About the Project

Help make this project a reality!

Thanks to support from the City of Cincinnati and other valued foundations and donors, we've almost reached our total project funding goal. We have just $5,000 more to raise to make this project a reality.

Every dollar you donate to this project will be matched by Duke Energy. Please donate today to put 24 youth Apprentices and 18 artists to work beautifying one of Over-the-Rhine's oldest assests, it's alleyway system.

About the Over-the-Rhine Alleyway projects:

ArtWorks, in partnership with Keep Cincinnati Beautiful (KCB) aims to create a series of twelve small murals in the area of OTR bordered by Main, 13th, Sycamore and Liberty Streets. Murals will be strategically curated to introduce colorful contemporary art to the neighborhood, help reduce blight, improve the perception of alleyways, beautify surroundings and ultimately, create a more vibrant and walkable community.

The First Collaboration
At the end of February, ArtWorks youth Apprentices worked on a gateway mural in the alleyway system east of Main Street in Over-the-Rhine. Strategically placed, the introduction of bold, colorful contemporary art in the neighborhood has helped to reduce blight and beautify the surroundings. The strategic location of this eye-catching composition at the corner of Goetz and Plough Alleys, just off Liberty Street, sparks the curiosity of passersby, inviting them to explore and engage with the alleyway system and improve their existing perception of the alleys.
