Connect Atlanta to the Global Jewish Music Renaissance

About the Project

The Atlanta Jewish Music Festival (AJMF) keeps our culture thriving and celebrates our heritage with year-round, subsidized learning programs for musicians and music-lovers, through secular and faith-based collaborative concerts and performances, and by our multi-week, annual world music Spring Festival (March 2-19, 2017).

This Spring Festival, we're deepening and broadening our international offerings by:

- Featuring Odessa/Havana at Opening Night (City Winery) and The Weber School to explore and celebrate the Jewish-Cuban connection.

- Building an extended artist residency for Ladino singer/songwriter Sarah Aroeste with appearances at Eddie's Attic, The Epstein School, Or Hadash and the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta.

- Programming diverse sounds from modern Israel: Yotam Silberstein (Jazz), Idan Raichel (World), and Axum, Peled and Sagol 59 (Hip Hop).

People of all ages, backgrounds, affiliations and denominations attend AJMF programs, including Jews and non-Jews. However, many artists in the Jewish music community and many Jewish Atlantans are of Ashkenazi descent (Eastern European). It is our responsibility to represent the diverse voices of all Atlantans and all Jews. We're proud to program the most diverse and multi-cultural line-up in our Spring Festival history this season.

Can you help us subsidize these experiences by making a tax-deductible donation today?

Your support will be used to cover artist fees, travel/lodging expenses, equipment rental and purchase, digital and print marketing, venue rental, and miscellaneous event costs. This campaign will significantly increase our capacity to connect Atlanta to the global Jewish music renaissance.

Thank you for your support of AJMF and our signature Spring Festival! For more information about AJMF and to view the entire Spring Festival line-up, visit our website (www.atlantajmf.org).
