Our mission is to transform people, communities and perspectives through laughter.
About the Project
Our History Founded in 1995, Dad's Garage Theatre has grown from a small volunteer-led organization to a thriving mid-size theatre led by professional artistic and administrative staff. The family at Dad's has continued to grow and now we have over 300 volunteers and performers.
We create work that is accessible, both financially and artistically, which brings in younger audiences to live theatre. We not only introduce new patrons to the arts, but we then move them on to other types of fine art through our partnerships with the Atlanta Opera, Alliance Theatre, Aurora Theatre, and High Museum of Art.
What your Donation to Dad's Garage supports
Your donation will support our onstage programming every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. Our upcoming season will include original scripted shows, improv formats and special events.
Funds will also allow us to maintain our high school outreach program. Through this high school outreach program we are able to teach improv skills to high school students across the state of Georgia at no cost to the students or schools. Lessons teach the students on team building, communication skills and fostering creativity.
Support will also go towards the programming of our improv classes which are open to the public, as well as support our creation of original online videos for DGTV, which includes original videos produced and distributed on our YouTube channel. Finally, support will help us maintain operational strength as we continue to fulfill our mission.
